Sep 28th 2008 Can You Install a Garage Door by Yourself? I Can’t

One for the hobbies I’ve been addicted to over the past years was bricolage, doing things to improve my house by myself, without specialized help. This helped me learn a lot of carpentry, landscaping, gardening, plumbing, to name only a few of the skills I’ve gained by trial and error processes. However, there’s one thing I haven’t managed to do by myself.

Do you know those timber Henderson garage doors? I’ve got one, but I had to give up with the installation and ask for help, even before I started. It is true, that was not a one-man job, so I would have needed some help anyway. This is why I thought that the wisest thing to do is let the specialists do it for me.

Sep 28th 2008 More rap tutorials

We already know that I have a weird fascination with all things hip hop and rap related. Well I stumbled across another blog about hip hop beats which is pretty cool–I do love bloggers and a blogger who specializes in hip hop? Even better!

So it’s pretty cool that we have so many people interested in starting their own rap music and even rap beats (the fact that people have time and the ability to specialize is pretty cool). In smaller genres of music people don’t really have the ability to break down exactly which niche they want or what they want to learn, so I think this focus on hip hop is pretty cool.

Sep 28th 2008 My Real Estate > Your real estate

I was spending the weekend trying to find Toronto real estate. I figured I would start slow–learn about the real estate basics and work my way up. Well I definitely plunged into the deep end. I saw some pictures, read some blog posts and boom, I’ve got my first real estate meeting next week. Non-committal so I’m not worried but all I can say is that my real estate is moving fast and I’m holding on for the ride of my life.

I want to hear from my readers–what are you guys doing about your real estate? I hope you’re getting your game on, cause I know my real estate is hot right now!

Aug 31st 2008 John Karney to play for Giants

I thought this is just worth mentioning. The fact that you have a guy that is 44 years old and is going to be the kicker for a team like the Giants is incredible. I know you young folk may not completely understand, but when you start getting up in age things that you would rather not happen to your body happen. Its just a fact of life and theres not much you can do about it.

So for any of you that say to your dads hes too old to play a certain sport, just look at this guy. Who knows, maybe he will play until hes 50. LOL!! And just one last thing. Jeff Feagle, who is 42 years old and a holder for the kicker I doubt thought that an older man than him would be kicking that ball. Oldies but goodies we like to say.

Sep 23rd 2006 Oops a daisy

Thanks for the emails regarding stop60minutes.com being over its bandwidth limit; after the controversy died down a notch I thought I could get away with a lower bandwidth allotment over there, but no such luck. :) Now that I know a lot of people are still visiting it, I guess I should finish the site after all, huh?

>>>>Quick Note

Just a quick note to say thank you to all who have been reading over the last few weeks, the wonderful emails and comments, the generous donations and purchasing of t-shirts and bumper stickers, and your continued support.

Sep 20th 2004 In case you hadn’t heard

The New York Times headline this morning: “CBS News Concludes It Was Misled on National Guard Memos.”

Yes, as many networks and newspapers and document experts and anyone with a copy of Microsoft Word found out for themselves over a week ago, the documents were not created in 1972, and were, as we and other blogs pointed out days before the networks even acknowledged the problem, childish forgeries. I only hope that those who blindly followed the word of Big Media despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary will finally concede that, gee, maybe those complaining about an anti-Bush news slant might have a point after all.

Incidentally, it means my “Biasphere” article from only a few hours ago just gained more support!
