Protect your Children from Sun and Chilly Water

Kids like water and it is hard to keep them away from it. That is true for a puddle of mud, a swimming pool, lake or the ocean. As a parent you should be concerned about your child's cover, not necessarily to become dirty, but against the sun or/and cold water. Many companies offer wetsuits for kids and a well fitting one is an great protection for outside activities.

When thinking about purchasing wetsuits for your children, there are a number of substantial factors you should consider.

The first factor to consider when purchasing your children's wetsuits is the temperature of the water he or she will wear it in, in relation to the outside temperature.

A decent fitting wetsuit works by letting water flowing into it and forming a thin film between the skin and the wetsuit. This film is heated up by the childrens own body temperature and keeps it warm and cozy. If the wetsuit is very loose-fitting, a constant stream of water through the child's wetsuit drags away body temperature and your child will begin to get cold, even in a pool that seems to be warm. If the wetsuit is too tight, it is not just unpleasant but also a serious risk to decrease your kid's blood flow and can generate breathing difficulties. For that reason, see your child is not squeezed into the wetsuit.

1.5 millimeter or 2 millimeter wetsuits for children should offer sufficient heat for most pools and warmer lakes. For cooler lakes and open water, think about a 3mm wetsuit or higher to protect your child or infant.

The length of the Kids wetsuit is also a worthy point to consider. What length of the wetsuit will your child need? In a warmer pool for swimming classes, in which space around the arms and legs is relevant for a child, a shorty wetsuit provides a good deal of space for movement while still maintaining body temperature and sun protection. For playing and swimming in fresher pools and cooler waters, where further warmth and sun protection is needed, choose a full-body wetsuit.

The childs wetsuit material composition is also critical. The best kids's wetsuits are made of stretchable neophrene and lycra that gives your child the freedom for movement and amplified buoyancy, while providing all the warmth and protection that your young child requires.

When selecting a wetsuit size for your very young child, infants, toddler or baby, be sure to allow room for a swim diaper. Also think about how fast your child will most likely grow during swimming and water sports season.

Excerpt: The Great Blizzard of 1899 was an unprecedented winter weather event that affected the southern United States. What made it historic was both the severity of winter weather and the extent of the U.S. it affected, especially in the South . The first reports indicated record-high barometric pressure over Assiniboia (now Saskatchewan ) due to the weight of the extremely cold and dense air . Later reports of the impending freeze were relayed down through Florida by the Florida East Coast Railway .Arctic cold The event started out on February 11 as a severe cold wave in which every part of the East Coast from Georgia to Maine received sub-zero Fahrenheit temperatures. The following state record low temperatures for February were achieved:Winter weather On February 12, snow started falling from Fort Myers and Tampa in Florida west towards New Orleans. Blizzard conditions were reported north of Tampa along the west coast of Florida due to ocean-effect snow . The storm crossed the Florida peninsula and intensified as it rapidly moved up the Eastern United States . High Point, North Carolina recorded 10-12" (25-30 cm) of snow, and temperatures as low as 10 °F (12 °C) on the 11th, 5 °F (15 °C) on the 13th, and 3 °F (16 °C) on the 14th. It was said to be the coldest weather known to the oldest inhabitants. Washington, D.C. recorded its all-time record single snowfall of 20.5 inches (52 cm), though it was later broken. Cape May, New Jersey recorded 34 inches (86 cm), which is the highest single storm snowfall total ever in New Jersey, in what is normally the least-snowy part of the state. The port of New Orleans was completely iced over by February 13, with ice floes reportedly floating out of the Mississippi River into the Gulf of Mexico .
